gnome

William has said in the past that he wants to be a gnome when he get older. Here is is getting an early start on the head gear (not for teeth).

The Jav

I took the babies to see their dad at work yesterday at the Javits convention center. Larrys good friend Dina was working for Metro that day, we have babies close in age. She has a little girl Ruby who is 3 months older than the twins.

Vaccinations

Larry and I have been back and forth since before the boys were born as to when we should have them vaccinated. We both are not against having them vaccinated, I just feel that the vaccination schedule from birh to 24 months is insane. I know that there are no proven studies that vaccinations cause autism, but if you were to look at the number of vaccinations that were given in 1980 to the nuber that are given now and compare it to the increase in autism it really makes you wonder.

I went to our peditrician before I had the twins and expressed my concerns about not having them vaccinated right away, if at all. I was told that it would not be a problem and they we respect our decision. Well, at our 4 month visit we were told that if we chose to not vaccinate them soon that our Doctor will not continue to treat our kids.

Where are the patients rights?

I am having a hard time finding a doctor who will work with us. I heard recently that vaccinations account for almost if not 50% of pediatrics business???????? That is insane.

We don't live in a third world country and Yes I am greatful that crazy disease don't run rampant in our country, but I should have some simple rights without the big drug companies stepping in.

Colin, Larry and I have never had the flu vaccine and we have never gotten sick. Parents in Maryland were threated to go to jail if they did not have their children vaccinated for the flu.

Autism rates are so high these day 1:150 average with 1:>100 in New Jersey. I am just being cautious. Our nephew is Autistic and I would rather deal with a bout of chicken pox or a week of the flu than a lifetime of autism...

babysitting

While we were at Colin's play Marco and his friend came over to babysit for us. I had to come home during intermission to help put them to sleep. Thomas let Marco know that he prefers to be breastfed in order to fall asleep and wouldn't have it any other way.

Oliver!

Colin had his school play this past weekend. The whole show was outstanding. I am not just saying that because I am his mother, the whole audience was really impressed. The cast was about 100 5th, 6th, and 7th graders and they sang over 15 songs. There were less than two dozen speaking rolls and Colin was good enough to get one of them. I am so proud of him and hope that he tries out for the play next year.

sunburn

I have been so excited to get out of the house the past few day that I completely disregarded the fact that the babies might need some sunscreen. Poor Fellas got a small sunburn this afternoon

long days

Colin is such a huge help to me, I took this picture after I handed him his brothers to keep awake for an hour while I did things around the house. Like drink my cup of tea that sat on the counter for three hours

never left alone

Not only do I have two babies all over me every day, i am not able to get 5 minutes of peace to myself even in the bathroom. Chloe would sit on my lap if I let her. Yes, I know I can close the door, I wanted to see just how confortable she would make herself in the bathroom while I was on the bowl.

March of Dimes

For those of you who subscribe to this blog instead of coming to the page periodically to check in, please come by and take a look at the side bar fund raiser for March of Dimes I added today... Nellie is looking to raise $500, I am sure she'll blow that goal away with no trouble at all...
